Michelle Medlock Adams is an Indiana University Journalism School graduate, an award-winning newspaper and magazine writer and the author of 44 books, earning first-place merits from the Associated Press, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Hoosier State Press Association to name a few. Michelle’s Christian Living book, Living the Love Chapter, earned her the title of “Writer of the Year" at the 2001 Write-to-Publish Conference in Wheaton, Illinois. And, her picture book, Conversations On the Ark, earned her the “Barnes & Noble Texas Author of the Month" honor in May 2003. This year, Michelle’s three latest children’s books, Happy Birthday, Jesus!, Christmas Cows!, and My Big Book of Prayers will be released by Ideals Children’s Books (A division of Guideposts).
When not working on her own assignments, Michelle ghostwrites books, articles and web copy for some of today’s most effective and popular ministers and celebrities. In fact, she helped pen a New York Times Bestseller in 2008. Michelle is also a much sought after teacher at writers’ conferences and universities around the nation. She has taught writing at the University of Wisconsin, Ball State and Liberty University, as well as serving as an adjunct professor at Taylor University during the fall semester of 2007. Michelle also enjoys speaking to women’s groups, youth groups, and congregations, encouraging others to follow after God and discover their destinies in Him.
Because of her inspirational nature, Michelle has been a featured guest on several TV programs including: “God Answers Prayer” in Santa Fe, NM; “At Home Live” in Fort Worth, TX; and “The Harvest Show” in South Bend, IN, on LeSea Network. She has also made several appearances on the Greenwood, IN, TBN affiliate. And, she’s been the guest on many prestigious radio programs across the United States including, “Healthy, Wealthy, WOW reality radio,” “Water Through the Word” and “Kingdom Keys with Keith Gray.”
She is married to her high school sweetheart, Jeff, and they have two teenage daughters, Abby and Ally; two miniature long-haired dachshunds, Miller and Mollie Mae; and a kitten named Mia. The Adams family resides in Bedford, IN., where they cheer on the Bedford North Lawrence Stars, the Indiana University Hoosiers and the Indianapolis Colts with great enthusiasm.
